Newborn baby home visits
Under the newborn baby home visit scheme, all households with a baby will receive a visit by a professional member of staff by the time the child reaches 4 months of age.
All members of staff are welfare commissioners, commissioned child welfare volunteers, or people with experience in providing child-rearing support, have undertaken training relating to child-rearing in the community, and have an identification badge.
They provide information on child-rearing, disaster preparedness, and local events, and deliver baby toys (red rattles) to your doorstep and other locations.
They also hand out leaflets required to apply for the Application for financial support for expectant mothers (Childbirth and Child-rearing Support Program)
Visits are free of charge.
Home visits by a public health nurse Premature baby home visits

Visits are free of charge.
After giving birth, please submit a birth notification form.
