Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)　（新型コロナウイルス感染症について）

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.

• Fever
• Cough, runny nose, sore throat
• Fatigue
• Muscle pain

Older people and those with underlying health conditions are more likely to develop severe symptoms. Seek medical advice if you have any of the above symptoms and are worried that you may have COVID-19.

• Wash your hands with soap
• Open windows to let in fresh air
• Wear a mask (when you go to a medical institution, meet elderly people, or get on a train or bus with lots of people)
• Avoid crowded places

• If you are worried, seek medical advice.
• If your symptoms worsen, such as if you have difficulty breathing or a high fever that persists, please go to a medical institution as soon as possible.

• Make sure to drink plenty of fluids, eat a well-balanced diet, and get plenty of sleep at home.
• You may be contagious for around 10 days.
• Wear a mask when you go out.

• Antigen test kit (to check if you have been infected)
• Medicine to reduce fever
• Thermometer

It costs money to get COVID-19 vaccination.

When the following persons receives COVID-19 vaccination in the fall or winter, Yokohama City will pay for part or all of it.

• Persons 65 years of age or older
• Persons between the ages of 60 and 64 with a defined disability.

Anyone can get COVID-19 vaccination all year round if they pay for it all themselves.
